You can find nearby jobs, build your profile and learn essential skills all within one app.

How it works

When you create your profile with Kormo, you get access to opportunities to learn, grow and earn with our Kormo partners. You’ll get:

  • Convenient profile creation
  • Easy job application and schedule management
  • Job searches by location
  • Articles, videos and other educational resource

What's a Kormo profile?

Your Kormo profile is designed to be simple and friendly. We’ll ask you a couple of easy questions about your interests and preferences, and that’s it. Your Kormo profile is clean, portable and updated whenever you get jobs within Kormo. You can also share or download your profile, or print it out when you need a physical copy.

Create your Kormo profile

  1. Download the Kormo app by searching for ‘Kormo’ in the Google Play Store
  2. Choose where you want to start:
    • To begin your job search and build your profile immediately, tap Find a job.
    • *Important: If you haven’t yet created your Kormo profile, start here.
    • To sharpen your skills, tap Learn something new.
    • To browse jobs or view your existing profile, tap Start exploring.
  3. Tap Continue.
  4. Select up to three career interests that fit your goals, then tap Continue.
  5. Enter the location where you’d like to work, then tap Continue.
  6. Browse your home feed for jobs and learning content.

Learn new skills

To find articles and videos that can help you in your career:

  1. Open the Kormo app
  2. Scroll to 'Learn new skills'.
  3. Find an article or video piece of content that interests you.
  4. To find out more, tap the article or video.

Tip: To share the article or video with others, tap Share .

How to update your Kormo profile

You can make changes to your profile, share it with others, download it and change who can view it.

Manage your profile

Important: To increase your chances of being selected for a job, make sure that your profile information is as complete and up to date as possible.

  1. Open the Kormo app
  2. At the top right, tap your profile image.
  3. Add your work experience, education and any references that you have.
    • To add new info, tap Add.
    • To edit existing info, tap Edit .
  4. Make sure that the interests that you selected in your Kormo profile match your career goals.
    • To adjust your career interests, under 'Interests', tap Edit.
  5. When your profile is up to date, tap Save.

Share your profile

You can use the info in your Kormo profile to create and share your profile outside of the app.

  1. Open the Kormo app
  2. At the top right, tap your profile image.
    • Tip: If your profile is incomplete, you may find a card at the top of your profile that says 'Review your profile'. To improve your chances of success, we recommend that you complete your profile and keep it as up to date as possible.
  3. At the top right, tap Share .
  4. Choose how you want to share your profile.
    • To send a custom URL, tap Share via link.
    • To download a PDF and share it later, tap View PDF.

Change who can view your profile

If you want to change who can view your Kormo profile, you can always change your profile link.

  1. Open the Kormo app.
  2. At the top right, tap your profile image.
  3. At the top right, tap Settings .
  4. Tap Resume sharing settings.
  5. Tap Change link.

How to manage your job applications

You can browse and apply for jobs, then check in on each application’s status to keep track of your job search.

Browse and apply for jobs

Important: To increase your chances of being selected for a job, make sure that your profile information is as complete and up to date as possible.

  1. Open the Kormo app.
  2. Under 'Jobs near me', find jobs to which you’re interested in applying.
  3. Tap a recommended job.
  4. Review the job details.
  5. If you’re interested in applying for the job, tap Apply.
  6. To submit your application, tap Apply now.

After you submit an application, you can browse for more jobs, update your profile or review your application.

Check an application's status

To find job applications that you submitted:

  1. Open the Kormo app.
  2. At the top right, tap your profile image.
  3. Tap Job activity.
  4. Find the job that you want to check on.

Tip: Your job applications are organised by their current status, including 'Applied', 'Interview invitations' and 'Job offers'.

What each application status means

To find out what each status means for your job application, check the table below:

Application states Descriptive text Next step
Applied X days ago You applied to the job X days ago and there have been no other updates. If you wish to cancel your application, click the 'cancel' button.
Not selected for interview You applied to the job but were not selected for the interview. Continue applying to other job opportunities that are recommended for you.
Invited. Response needed You applied to the job and were invited to the interview! You must accept the interview invitation to be officially scheduled on the interview roster. Once you accept, you are expected to attend the interview.
Declined interview You applied to the job and were invited to the interview, but chose not to accept the interview invitation. Continue applying to other job opportunities that are recommended for you.
Not selected for job The employer did not select you for the job. Continue applying to other job opportunities that are recommended for you.
Interview in X days You are currently on the interview roster and expected to attend the interview. If you cannot attend the interview or wish to cancel, click the 'cancel' button at least 24 hours prior to the interview to avoid an impact to your interview attendance rate.
Missed interview You were scheduled for the interview but failed to attend. Your interview attendance rate in your profile will be affected. Next time, make sure that you click 'cancel' at least 24 hours prior to the interview if you are unable to attend.
Interviewed X days ago You attended the interview and are awaiting a decision from the employer. Hang in there! The status will update when there are changes made to your application by the employer.
Interview passed. Waiting for next steps. You passed the initial interview! You are now awaiting a decision from the employer. Hang in there! The status will update when there are changes made to your application by the employer.
Waitlisted. Waiting for next steps. You are awaiting a decision from the employer. Hang in there! The status will update when there are changes made to your application by the employer.
Offered The employer offered you the job! You must accept or decline the job offer in the app.
Accepted The employer offered you the job and you accepted! Check out the learning resources recommended for you in the home page to help prepare for your first day!
Declined offer The employer offered you the job but you declined. Continue applying to other job opportunities that are recommended for you

Respond to an interview request or job offers

Important: To be scheduled for an interview, you must respond to the request sent by the employer. If you don’t respond at all, it will harm your chances of being selected for interviews in the future.

If the employer is interested in your application, they can request an interview with you. You’ll receive an SMS message and app notification to notify you of a new request.

  1. Open the Kormo app
  2. At the top right, tap your profile image.
  3. Tap Job activity.
  4. Find the job application that you want to respond to.
  5. Tap Respond.
  6. Review the interview or job info
    • To confirm an application or scheduled interview:
      • Tap Accept.
      • To confirm, tap Ok.
    • To cancel an application or scheduled interview:
      • Tap Cancel.
      • To confirm, tap Yes.

How to stand out on Kormo

You can use Kormo to get the most out of your job search and increase your chances of an interview. We have a few extra tips to help you use the product.

Job searches

To help us find you more jobs that fit your interests and strengths:

  • Complete your Kormo profile: The more complete your profile info is, the easier it is to find jobs that match your skills.
  • Grow your skills: Kormo offers free content that can help you learn about a variety of topics related to your interest, including videos and articles created by fellow professionals.
  • Share your profile: After your profile is complete, you can share your profile to apply for jobs outside of the Kormo app

Interviews

To improve your chances of being selected for an interview:

  • Respond to interview invitations: The more promptly that you respond, the better impression you make.
  • Keep your commitments: If you respond to an interview request and say that you’ll attend the interview, make sure that you attend the interview. If you skip an interview without notice, it may hurt your chances of being invited to other interviews in the future.

Important: If you can’t attend an interview due to outside circumstances, cancel the interview. Try to give as much notice as possible.

Job searches

How do I find specific types of jobs?

We recommend jobs for you based on your profile info, location, preferences and your activity in the app.

To find specific types of jobs, make sure that you update your profile info, location and preferences to reflect the sort of jobs that you’re interested in.

What types of jobs are available and why?

We currently promote entry-level jobs in categories like Retail, Logistics, Hospitality and others for early-career job seekers. Some common jobs include retail sales associate, delivery person, waiter and warehouse worker.

What does it mean if I’m 'pre-qualified' for a job?

Congratulations! When you find a job that you’re pre-qualified for, that means that we think you’re a great fit for the job. If you apply for the job, you’ll automatically be added to the employer’s interview list and scheduled for an interview.

Important: You’ll still have to go through the employer’s standard interview process. Pre-qualified jobs aren’t guaranteed employment.

Why can’t I find the job or interview’s address?

You won’t be able to view an exact location for any job or interview until the employer selects you for the job or interview, and you accept the interview invitation or job offer in the app.

To stay up to date on your applications, make sure that you check your messages in the app frequently. In some cases, we may also send you emails or SMS messages.

How can I find an employer’s contact info?

You can find an employer’s contact info on their profile. To view their profile, tap the employer’s logo.

Interviews

How can I be selected for an interview?

Interview selections are automatically made through the app, but are ultimately decided and approved by the employer. Both decisions are made based on the info that you provided in your profile and whether that info makes you a good match for the job

For best results, make sure that your profile is complete and up to date. You can also check for 'pre-qualified' jobs where you’ll be selected for an interview immediately after you apply.

Will I get a call to let me know if I’m selected for an interview or job?

While we can’t guarantee that you’ll receive a call, you’ll receive a message in the app as soon as any updates are available.

Can I find the result of an interview that I attended?

Updates about jobs and interviews are made by the employer and may not be immediately available after an interview. When the employer updates the job listing with a selection, the listing will update in the app.

What if I can’t attend a scheduled interview?

To make sure that your interview attendance rate isn’t affected by a missed interview, cancel your interview in the app before your scheduled interview time.

What if I’m scheduled for more than one interview at the same time?

To make sure that your interview attendance rate isn’t affected by a missed interview, cancel the interview in which you’re less interested through the app before your scheduled interview time.

There are many potential reasons why an employer may cancel an interview. It’s likely that there was a scheduling conflict, or that they no longer had a need to hire for the position.

Check the app for other jobs in which you may be interested and keep applying!

To request more content to learn about in Kormo, give us feedback through the app:

  1. Open the Kormo App
  2. At the top right, tap your profile image.
  3. At the top right, tap Settings .
  4. Tap Feedback.
  5. Submit your report.
